Clerical Support

Clerical support opportunities are available at St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital.

Unit Clerks/Coordinators (UC)

Based on unit workload, we may accommodate up to 90 Unit Clerks / Coordinators on placement at PHC annually. All requests for placements are to be submitted and organized through HSPnet.

UC School Coordinators

Contact Deborah Shaw the Student UC Placement Coordinator for PHC at dshaw2@providencehealth.bc.ca to make arrangements for your students to do the mandatory 3 days orientation and submit the UC SCM Form, found on the Computer Page.

UC Students

Your school will oversee all organization of your placement; please do not try to organize any placements on your own. The school coordinator will assign you your placement upon acceptance and send you your orientation dates and any additional information specific to you. Your orientation will be 3 days and you will need to bring a red pen, black pen and a pencil.

Orientation

  • Review the Orientation page and complete all requirements that are applicable to you.
  • Once your orientation dates have been assigned, you will need to register for Computer Training, for the date and time specified.
